Day 81: Wait, say what!?!

(I fell off the wagon with my blogging again. Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii! Because I’m several days behind and been really busy, Days 80-86 will exclude nutrition partly because I never bothered to record any of it down. I am living out of a suitcase at a friends place until the new condo is ready, so cooking nutritious meals and storing them for later consumption has not been ideal. Although it is possible, it’s difficult to eat healthy under these circumstances. There is never a good excuse for getting off track so let me update you as to where I am on Monday March 28 – Day 87 with a photo and measurements to see where I currently stand.)

Example of Weight Watchers Point System

Mood: Tired

David Kirchhoff, president of Weight Watchers, the worlds largest diet company has recently admitted: “Calorie counting has become unhelpful. When we have a 100-calorie apple in one hand and a 100-calorie pack of cookies in the other, and we view them as being ‘the same’ because the calories are the same, it says everything that needs to be said about the limitations of just using calories in guiding food choices.”

Although there is most likely a profitable motive for making this announcement I applaud them for at least pointing out that consuming whole, natural, organic, unprocessed, nutritious foods are the way to go. Eating the right types of foods (protein, carbs and fats) periodically throughout the day will get you to the goal. It’s plain and simple…get with it people!
